💡 Inspiring Peers to Get Involved

On Thursday, September 11, 2025, members of the Youth Action Team (YAT) — part of the Georgia Teen State Executive Council — hosted an information table at the Newton County College and Career Academy to promote upcoming volunteer opportunities and community events.

Three YAT members shared how students can get involved in community service, mental health awareness, and leadership activities throughout Newton County.

With more than 50 students reached, the event encouraged peers to learn more about YAT’s mission to make a difference through service and leadership. Events like this one help expand youth involvement, grow future leaders, and strengthen community connections.
