Empowering Newton County families and youth since 1989

About Us

The Newton Community Partnership (NCP) has been a cornerstone of community support and collaboration in Newton County, Georgia, since 1989. Designated by the state and County Commissioners as the official advocate for children and families, NCP is dedicated to building a resilient and thriving community through innovative programs, partnerships, and initiatives.

We are proud to empower the next generation of leaders through our Youth Action Team (YAT). This dynamic group of high school students plays a key role in creating and leading impactful initiatives, including the annual Kick the Habit events, which focus on substance misuse prevention and wellness education. The YAT also actively participates in various community events, from organizing Red Ribbon Week activities to volunteering at local outreach programs, ensuring their voices and efforts contribute meaningfully to the well-being of Newton County.

Beyond youth empowerment, NCP has a rich history of fostering literacy, health, and wellness. We have championed initiatives such as Newton READS, community gardens to support food banks, and the establishment of school-based health clinics. Our work extends to programs like the Nurturing Parenting initiative and trauma-responsive community engagement through Be Healthy Newton.

At NCP, we believe in the power of collaboration and the strength of community. Together with partners and volunteers, we are building a brighter future for Newton County, one initiative at a time.

Supporting families, inspiring youth, and transforming futures to address today’s challenges and shape a brighter tomorrow.
