NEWTON COUNTY COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP
Georgia Family Connection
Newton Partnership, a GA Family Connection Collaborative, envisions a Georgia where all children are healthy, ready to go to school and to succeed when they get there; and where strong families contribute to vibrant, robust communities that thrive.
School success is the single greatest factor in future employability leading to a high quality of life. The Newton County Community Partnership (NCCP) and partners are starting where the smallest steps can garner the largest impact: sending children ages 0-5 to school healthy and ready to learn.
NCCP’s collaborative plan gives parents and caregivers the supports they need to nurture their children and build safe and stable families that support each other. It begins with each family being part of a plan that identifies and sets in place resources to build individual capabilities and overcome barriers that threaten families. This will produce the best long-term results: a generation of children who have the education and life skills necessary to be strong parents, effective employees and invested citizens. This is not just the job of the school system, every sector of the community must take part in providing the emotional, educational, and health needs of our children at greatest risk.
NCCP strategy teams plan for and implement interventions supporting high quality early life experiences, high school graduation, and school-to-work transitions that are critical to an individual’s expectation of future employment or community investment.
