This summer, Newton Community Partnership and the Newton County Drug Free Community Coalition proudly supported eight Youth Action Team (YAT) members at Georgia Teen Institute (GTI). During this intensive leadership experience, our youth chose to focus their 2025–2026 project on underage drinking prevention and youth mental health—critical issues facing our community. With support from coalition partners like GUIDE, Inc. and The Council on Alcohol and Drugs, Newton’s youth are stepping up to lead lasting change.
