Newton County YAT Hits the Lunch Tables to Recruit for Kick the Habit 2026

Sometimes the best outreach happens over lunch.

On March 12, 2026, four Newton County Youth Action Team members set up a table during lunch at Newton College and Career Academy to spread the word about their upcoming Kick the Habit meeting and recruit new student volunteers. Over 2.5 hours, the team connected with 75 students, sharing information about the annual prevention event and inviting peers to get involved.

It's the kind of grassroots outreach that keeps the YAT growing — meeting students where they are and making it easy to say yes to prevention work.
