Volunteer of the Month: Valeria Tapia-Padilla
We’re thrilled to celebrate one of our own! Valeria Tapia-Padilla, a dedicated member of the Youth Action Team (YAT), has been named the Ingles Teen Volunteer of the Month in recognition of her outstanding service and leadership.
A senior at Newton College and Career Academy/STEM Institute, Valeria has balanced rigorous academics with an impressive commitment to community involvement. As a leader within YAT, she has played a key role in promoting youth-led prevention, mental health awareness, and positive change in Newton County.
Valeria's passion for helping others extends far beyond the classroom. She’s a frequent volunteer in local initiatives and events that support wellness, education, and community connection.
After graduation, Valeria plans to attend the University of Georgia, where she will major in Biology with the goal of becoming a pediatrician—a natural next step for someone who already shows so much compassion and dedication to the well-being of others.
We are incredibly proud of Valeria and all she has accomplished. Her commitment to making a difference today is laying the foundation for a brighter, healthier tomorrow—not just for herself, but for the entire community.
💙 Congrats, Valeria!
Your YAT family and everyone at Newton Community Partnership is cheering you on as you take the next step in your journey.
